Traffic Signal at 31 Lee St

I find“belongs to mass dot and not the town”a complete cop out of a response to a safety issue. How do TOWN signals not belong to us?This is why we have town electricians.Apparently we don’t need them
NO WORK REQUIRED This request has been marked resolved by the Town of Brookline. Thank you for your concern. The traffic signal in question is located at an intersection with Route 9 and is owned and maintained by MassDOT. Since Route 9 is a state-owned roadway, it is standard practice for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to be responsible for the traffic signals and related infrastructure along it. Our Engineering and Transportation Division has referred this matter to MassDOT several times in the past. As this location falls under the state’s jurisdiction, we recommend contacting MassDOT directly with any further concerns. - 7 days ago #SR-111950

Traffic Signal at Lee St, Brookline 02445

Poor signal timing going north on Lee and then getting stuck at the Lee signal while Boylston signal is green. Very frustrating to sit there at red Lee signal while there is no traffic at Boylston.
